Pricing may vary upon color, patterns, or gender. The first litter is the only one I am offering just a $5 adoption fee. My pricing may seem somewhat high for rats, but these aren't the skittish rats that you would get at a pet store. They are all used to human handling and do not bite. If you're looking for a loving pet that is suitable for a home environment, then the price will be well worth it.
I will offer a slight discount if you buy a same sex pair.
Blues:
Normal price: $10
Unique patterns: $12
Unique coloring (such as a brownish/tan hue): $15
Blacks:
Normal price: $8
Unique patterns: $10
I will not ship my rats. They must be picked up locally, but I may be able to meet somewhere for a reasonable gas fee.
The only thing you need to do in order to reserve your rat(s) is to keep in touch. Just send me an e-mail every three days and the rat will be reserved for you. If you decide at some point that you do not want the rat(s), just let me know so that I can change the status on here.
If I do not receive an e-mail after three days, the rat(s) will become available again, and if someone else claims them before I get another e-mail from you, then they will go to the new prospective buyer. If you're going out of town for a while, just let me know approximately how long you'll be gone and I'll keep them on reserve.
If you do not think that you can stay in touch, you can deliver the payment (cash only), and that rat will be yours - it will not go to anyone else for any reason. If you make the payment but decide that you do not want the rat, your payment will be refunded. You have one week to decide that you do not want to take him/her home in order to receive the refund. After the one week period, if you decide not to take the rat, you will not receive the refund.
